We're the Austin chapter of The Alternative Board, a 35-year-old global peer advisory and coaching network operating in 200+ cities worldwide.
Most owners don't fail because of bad strategy. They fail, or stagnate, because they have no one to think with. No peers who get it. No coach who's lived it.
The Alternative Board exists to fix that. Since 1990, we've built monthly peer boards where owners of small businesses meet, challenge each other, and get sharper. In between meetings, every member works with a private TAB-certified coach.
In Austin, that means a community of owners who understand the unique context of this city: the talent compression, the cost of growth, the temptation to chase every shiny object the tech scene throws at you.

Meet your facilitators & coaches

Bhushan Ekbote is the CEO of TAB Austin. He has led Revenue Operations and Go-to-Market programs across high-growth SaaS, fintech, and IoT connectivity organizations, focused on building operating rhythm, improving decision quality, and creating scalable systems that support growth.
He brings 15+ years of operator experience to Austin business owners: helping them build companies that grow on purpose, with a clear plan, peer support, and accountability.

Jim Gerberman is a proven business leader with multiple successes as President, CEO, and General Manager of emerging technology companies serving industries from defense and aerospace to analytical instrumentation and personal computing.
His career spans the US Army, Texas Instruments, Tracor/Baker Hughes/Thermo Electron, VMETRO, and Corporate Finance Associates, where he has led turnarounds, driven 18% CAGR growth in flat markets, and executed M&A from initial planning through post-acquisition integration. He holds a BS from West Point, an MBA from St. Edward's University, and a PhD in Management Science from UT Austin's McCombs Business School.

Christa Kleinhans Tuttle is the CEO of Joifel, a growth-focused, operationally minded leader and coach who helps executives and their teams align on vision and goals, strengthen operations, communicate with precision, and scale with discipline. An Insights Discovery-Licensed Practitioner and Certified Facilitator for The Alternative Board (TAB) in Austin, Christa blends deep executive experience with a practical, human-centered approach to provide 1:1 executive coaching, board facilitation, and team effectiveness programs that increase collaboration, elevate execution, and measurably strengthen engagement across teams, stakeholders, and customers.
Previously, Christa founded and led Launch Marketing as CEO from 2001 through its acquisition in 2024 and continues as a Strategic Advisor. Under her leadership, Launch helped over 250 tech-oriented businesses launch their company/product, go to market with a clear strategy, messaging and lead gen plan, increase the impact of marketing efforts, and effectively align sales and marketing teams. In 2020, she launched Marketing Pro Series, combining online courses, weekly exercises and templates, and 1:1 coaching to quickly create marketing strategies and plans tailored to small businesses.
Christa is an active member of Entrepreneurs' Organization (EO) and Women Presidents Organization (WPO) and involved with Breakthrough, a non-profit focused on building a path through college for students from low-income communities to create first-generation college graduates.
