Hotel Maintenance Engineer

Position: Maintenance Technician
Location: Embassy Suites by Hilton Austin Arboretum
Reports To: Chief Engineer

Schedule: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM | Weekends Required

Position Summary

Embassy Suites by Hilton Austin Arboretum is seeking a dependable, motivated, and service-oriented Maintenance Technician to join our Engineering team. This position is responsible for maintaining guest rooms, public areas, equipment, and hotel facilities to ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for our guests and team members.

Essential Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs throughout the hotel.

• Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests and work orders.

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building issues.

• Complete routine inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and hotel equipment.

• Maintain the hotel's appearance and ensure all facilities are in good working order.

• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.

• Keep accurate maintenance records and complete assigned work orders.

• Use hotel technology systems to receive, update, and complete maintenance work orders.

• Assist with emergency situations as needed.

• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Previous hotel maintenance experience is required.

• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, drywall, painting, and general maintenance.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.

• Good communication and customer service skills.

• Basic computer skills and ability to use hotel technology systems for work orders and daily tasks.

• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

• Must be dependable, professional, and able to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
