The Alternative Board AustinAustin

Hiring shouldn't cost you before you've met a single candidate.

Most job boards charge $200 to $500 per post before you've talked to anyone. We think that's backwards. This is a free job board for Austin businesses, member or not, to post open roles and hire from a trusted local circle. No fees. No catch.

Why this exists

A cost small businesses shouldn't have to carry.

Every week, we hear the same thing from business owners in our network: hiring is expensive, and the job boards make it worse. Sponsored listings, per-post fees, upsells to reach more candidates. For a business doing $2M or $5M a year, that adds up fast, and it's money that could go back into the business instead.

So we built something simple. Any Austin-area company can post an open role here for free. No account gymnastics, no middlemen, no fee schedule. Just a place where local businesses can find people from a trusted community instead of paying a platform to do it.

Free, always

No cost to post. No cost to browse. No sponsored tier that gets you more visibility if you pay.

Built on trust

This isn't a stranger-filled job board. It's rooted in the same community-first network TAB Austin runs its peer advisory boards on.

Open to everyone

You don't need to be a TAB member to post or apply. This is for the whole Austin business community.

Open roles

Post your role. Save the fee.

Open positions from Austin businesses, TAB members and non-members alike. Posting is free and takes about two minutes.

The community behind it

Local, trusted, and already talking to each other.

This job board sits on top of a network of Austin business owners who already know, refer, and vouch for each other.
